We are optimistic that we will be able to host a shortened ball hockey season this June.
The shortened season will consist of six games played on Thursday and Saturday June 10th to 26th.
Thursdays 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Saturdays 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
What Equipment Do I Need?
Players need running shoes, a stick, and a helmet with a full cage. (We will have a few sticks available but encourage you to get your own).
Added Safety Precautions:
Much like last year’s shortened season there will be added safety precautions:
-providing two full sets of goalie equipment per team so no equipment is shared between players
-volunteers will be masked
- to limit interaction and touched surfaces, only church volunteers will set up boards and equipment
-no spectator seating provided (bring a lawn chair and maintain physical distancing)
-no refreshments table
-no building access (port-a-potty provided and disinfected between uses)
-disinfecting any touched surfaces between games
-providing hand sanitizer around the game area
The shortened season will have two teams.
Registration will be capped at 20 players total.
What About the Provincial Colour Codes?
Under current health guidelines we can play games in Orange Zone or better. If we are in Red, with our precautions, we can run skills and drills. Under Grey or lockdown/shutdown we cannot operate.
If you register, you have until May 13th to opt out. You will then receive a full refund (less any third party transaction fees).
Player t-shirts and medallions will be purchased on May 14th. After which there will be no refunds issued.
If a lockdown prevents us from playing, please note, there will be no refunds issued. However, we will attempt to re-schedule.
