John Mackie - Pastor

 

John Mackie

Lead Pastor

John and his wife Heather have been with Byron Community Church since 1996. John enjoys long walks on the beach, and unfortunately cheers for the Toronto Maple Leafs. You will often find John preaching on a Sunday morning, or making new friends wherever he goes. John and Heather have two grown children, a daughter, Melissa, and son, Mark.

Joshua Kennedy - Associate Pastor

Josh and his wife Sarah have been part of Byron Community Church since 2016. Josh is a Disney nerd, and a big fan of the Anaheim Ducks. You will often find Josh with the Sunday school, leading activities like ball hockey and theatre clubs, or meeting over a coffee at Tim Horton's.


Gayle Wires

Church Secretary


Gayle has been part of Byron Community Church since 2006. She worked for 45 years as a manager in the Telecom industry until she retired in 2024. She assumed the role of Church Secretary in January 2026. She serves as co-chair of the Missions Committee and co-lead an outreach team for one week each summer to the Native community of Aundeck Omni Kaning for 13 years. Gayle serves on the Church Information Desk and helps with Hospitality events. Gayle enjoys the outdoors and her pets.
