3. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man; born of a virgin and sinlessly perfect. Because of Christ’s sacrifice, He is the substitute for the sinner and the one mediator who can effect the reconciliation between a Holy God in heaven and sinful men on earth. He was buried and rose bodily from the dead and ascended to His Father’s right hand, where He now ministers as our Great High Priest.

(I John 5:20John 1:17Matthew 1:23I Timothy 2:5‑6Luke 1:35II Corinthians 5:21I Peter 2:22, 243:18II Corinthians 5:18‑19I John 2:1‑2Acts 2:31‑32Luke 24:39Ephesians 1:20Hebrews 4:14‑169:24)

Recognition of this condition, repentance and regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of man. Redemption is wholly by the blood of Christ and salvation is by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Each child of God possesses the security of eternal life.

8. We believe that the Church universal, the body of Christ is not an organization but a living organism comprised of all believers. The local church is an expression, in any locality, of the church universal. It is composed of believers who are gathered as a corporate testimony to the Lordship of Christ and to the oneness of the body of Christ. They gather by the leading of the Holy Spirit for communion, for worship, for prayer, and fellowship for edification and evangelism. Government and discipline are the responsibilities of the local church.
