History Of Byron Community Church In 1979, the elders of North Park Community Church, under the pastoral leadership of Bill McRae, appointed four men to give leadership to a new church ministry called Byron Community Chapel. Craig Baynham left an associate leadership role at North Park and pastored Byron Community Chapel until 1981. Paul Furseth was called to pastor the congregation at Byron in the fall of 1982. In 1994, Paul and Ruth Furseth left to pursue ministry as foreign missionaries. John Mackie began his ministry as pastor in July, 1996. During this time, the leadership decided to change the name to Byron Community Church to better reflect the vision of the ministry. |
